Temple grounds at Wutai ShanThe Wutai Shan (Five Plateau Mountain) is one of the Four Sacred Mountains, next to Emei Shan, Putuo Shan, and Hua Shan, in Chinese Buddhism.
It takes it name from the five rounded peaks (North, South, East, West, Central), of which the North peak, Beitai Ding or Yedou Feng, is the highest, and indeed the highest point in northern China.
Around this historic scenic spot are many beautiful temples and stupa’s to visit.
